Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Overview

SnapSheet ("we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile application that lets you import timesheet screenshots and export the extracted data to a spreadsheet. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We believe your data belongs to you. SnapSheet is designed to process your screenshots locally on your device and move data only where you explicitly ask us to.

Data We Collect

SnapSheet requests access to the following in order to function:

  • Photo Library — to let you select timesheet screenshots for processing. Images are read locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
  • Account connection (OAuth) — when you connect your spreadsheet account, we receive an access token scoped only to spreadsheet access. We store this token on your device to avoid repeated sign-ins.
  • Exported sheet data — the structured rows (date, start time, end time, hours, project) extracted from your screenshots. This data is sent directly to the spreadsheet service on your behalf; we do not retain a copy.
We do not collect: your name, email address, device identifiers, analytics events, advertising IDs, or crash diagnostics beyond what the OS itself may capture.

How We Use Your Data

The information described above is used exclusively to deliver the core functionality of SnapSheet:

  • Extracting timesheet entries from images you select.
  • Creating or updating your spreadsheet with the extracted rows.
  • Saving your export history locally on your device for quick re-access.
  • Remembering your preferences (default sheet name, column toggles) so you don't have to re-enter them.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.

Third-Party Services

SnapSheet integrates with the following external services:

  • Spreadsheet API — Your exported data is sent to the spreadsheet service when you choose to export. Use is subject to that service's own privacy policy.
  • OAuth 2.0 sign-in — Used solely to authorize access to your spreadsheet. We request the minimum scope required.

We do not share your data with any other third parties, sell it, or use it for cross-app tracking.

Data Retention & Deletion

All app data — including your export history, preferences, and OAuth token — is stored locally on your device. Uninstalling SnapSheet removes all locally stored data.

Spreadsheets you have created through SnapSheet remain in your account and are governed by that service's own retention policies. You can delete those sheets from your account at any time.

Children's Privacy

SnapSheet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of SnapSheet after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
